Higher house prices relative to wages, plus an increased cost of living is making the idea of home ownership seem further out of reach for many, pushing more people to become long term renters.

With more renters on the market, and increasingly more property being bought as investment rather than housing, the power dynamic between landlords and tenants unfortunately seems to be shifting further towards landlords having the upper hand, allowing for further rent increases, leaving tenants with less and less room to breathe.
